Election Commission Approves Local Level By-Election Schedule

Kathmandu: The Election Commission (EC) has approved the schedule for the upcoming local level by-elections. EC Spokesperson Narayan Prasad Sapkota announced that the schedule includes various tasks to be undertaken by the Commission and its offices to ensure a well-organized election process.
According to the timeline, a notice for political party registration will be issued on September 25, with registrations taking place between September 26 and October 2. Party registrations will be officially approved by October 6.
The final voter list will be published on November 11, while polling stations will be determined, and the returning officer’s office established by November 15. The election campaign will kick off on November 17, and voting is scheduled for December 1.
